For Ubuntu Lucid (10.04) you need podsleuth 0.6.7 which I just released
yesterday, fixing this bug. It should reach the PPAs soon, and
hopefully will get shipped as an online update to Lucid.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: podsleuth

Podsleuth fails to recognize my second generation iPod mini in Karmic, instead reporting,

[1713 ben at ben-laptop ~] $ podsleuth --rescan
No iPods were found in the HAL device tree

Yet, according to lshal, things seem to be working fine on the hal side of things. See lshal.txt
