thanks for the report, it seems that f-spot is not interpreting the path
correctly, what if you run the --view mode with : f-spot --view
"/home/valjean/Photos/PICHA YA TANZANIA/tanzania kadi ya
kwanza/100NIKON/DSCN0167.JPG" ; does it works fine that way? looks like
a duplicate. thanks.

You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu

Status in “f-spot” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: f-spot

F-spot crashes immediately upon double-clicking any photo in the f-spot library to go to the editing mode/single-photo-view mode. As you can imagine, this is completely debilitating.

I have attached a file containing the results of the commands:

apt-cache policy f-spot
f-spot --debug
f-spot --view PIC

May be similar to this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/f-spot/+bug/59837 , however my case has a SIGSEGV and is not limited to the --view option.
