Okay, in that case, can you try "sudo aptitude install
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good" in a terminal and see what it says? Please post the
full output here.

When launching an application to read music, the programme looks for appropriate codecs but installing theme uninstall banshee. But the codec doesn't work anyway.
