Could you test if Banshee still fails to start up with Banshee 1.7.1
(found in Ubuntu 10.10 and the Banshee Unstable PPA) please? Thanks.

I use up-to-date Ubuntu 9.10 . i haven't run banshee for a few days so I don't know when exactly it stopped working.
