Status in “monodevelop” package in Ubuntu: Invalid

Bug description:
Binary package hint: monodevelop

Firstly, this bug could be related to number 153664 here on launchpad, although it is much more widely-affecting than the description there. If someone more qualified than I am decides these bugs are linked then please merge them ;)

I have an open bug on MD's main bugzilla also although since I opened that, having chatted with some MD devs, I have a feeling that it is Ubuntu-specific. The bug there is:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=440349

The bug description itself:
I am using Kubuntu Hardy and am experiencing frequent MD crashes when I interact with the MD GUI. Things that are most likely to cause a crash are switching between tabbed task panes (such as switching between "Class View" and "Solution View", as well as expanding/hiding hierarchical/tree-like structures (such as when browsing class namespaces in the "Class View" pane.

In these cases I am NOT using the Gtk# GUI designer (Stetic?) - the projects I am working on don't even have a GUI, they are all console-mode applications.

In every case, the output from the crashed monodevelop indicates a SEGFAULT in native code, and (if I am reading the stack trace correctly) it is referring to the gtk and gtk# libraries.

To reproduce:
* Install Kubuntu Hardy and monodevelop
* Create a new solution/project, and a few files
* Pick a "tabbed" task pane and start switching between the tabs
* Mine doesn't always crash on the first tab switch, but I have never been able to switch tabs in quick succession more than ten times without a crash

It's fairly intermittent, but (for example) I experience about 7 crashes each day when working with MD, and I am training myself to avoid switching tabs when I don't need to ;)

Also - it is worth mentioning that I have tried the LiveCD for Intrepid and although I didn't have long to try it out, I did install monodevelop into it and try to reproduce this bug. I can say that using intrepid, and clicking around like crazy I couldn't make it crash.

That isn't a definite "It's fixed in intrepid" but it might be ...
