The killall command earlier is not supposed to kill Banshee -- it's
supposed to make Banshee dump out a whole bunch of stack traces onto the
terminal, which it did. Could you try installing the "banshee-dbg"
package and attempting those steps again, please? That would result in a
more useful stack trace (with file names and line numbers, etc) to
accelerate debugging.

I could no more use banshee for today: when I launch it the window stay grey and nothing more.
This app is too unstable, I'm thinking to return to rhythmbox.
