Using banshee 1.9.0 on ubuntu 10.10 amd64 here.
Bought an album at amazon, used the import function and take a look at
the picture. Some tracks are duped while importing but i cannot see ugly
chars that cause the old problem. The files instead are not duped on the
drive.

Title:
Banshee adds doublettes from some tag chars
Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: banshee
Banshee 1.8.0
Just cleaning my database from hand cause there is no automated dup-finder. Banshee adds an existing song again and again at every re-read to the database, when followed chars are in the title or interpret tag. , & ' ` ` . If you have songs from french interprets you're going crazy bout the dupes in the database. English sogs have commas and some us interprets habe the & sign in their name. All these songs are duplicated at every re-read.
