Yes, I did of course tried few different audio cd's but with the same
outcome. Following your suggestion I checked the daily build and sadly
the problem still occurs :( (I've attached debug info produced by the
daily build - banshee-debug-190.log)

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: banshee

Banshee hangs up and displays "Encountered fatal error" message while trying to load Audio CD. It becomes completely unresponsive but it does actually play the music. I ran Banshee in console with --debug. I attached the output in "banshee-debug.log" file.
