I also have an issue with F-Spot's add-in manager refreshing to an error
related to the repo.  Was looking to see what available extensions were
out, but got the error message instead.

to reproduce:
in F-Spot 0.6.1.5, 
edit, manage extensions, click install add-ins button, click the refresh button.  

Done in a base model thinkpad t40 with fresh install of 10.04 LTS.
