Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tomboy

To start Tomboy silently in the notification area without displaying the
search window first, you can use the --icon switch. This works fine from
the command line, but if I add 'tomboy --icon' to the session startup
via the "Startup applications" dialog, the search window is always
displayed at startup.
