The following steps were taken to reproduce the problem on a clean Lucid
VM:

 1) Install gnome-do, gnome-do-plugins
 2) Start gnome-do via the terminal and open the preferences pane
 3) Check the "Google Calendar" box to enable the plugin
 4) Exit the preferences pane. 

gnome-do should crash with a SIGABRT in 5 seconds or so.
