Hi Sebastien isn't it upstream :-P ?

Steps to reproduce:
1. open F-spot
2. open preferences and set prefered photo dir
3a. close f-spot
  b  import some pics
4a take a look at the dir you've choosen, you'll see a new subdir called "photos"
