Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: monodevelop

System
----------------------
Running Jaunty alpha 5:
lsb_release -rd=

Description:	Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release:	9.04
in a vmware workstation 6.5 (Windows Vista). I performed a distupgrade from 8.10 in order to have an early look at mono 2.0.x.

apt-cache policy monodevelop =
monodevelop:
  Installed: 1.9.2+dfsg-1ubuntu1
  Candidate: 1.9.2+dfsg-1ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 1.9.2+dfsg-1ubuntu1 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Problem
-----------------------
Running monodevelop to create a console test app. No integrated debugger is available within monodevelop 2.0 Beta 1 (1.9.2)

Checked Help | About | Version Info MonoDevelop.Debugger
version=1.9.2.0 path=/usr/lib/monodevelop/bin

So I looked in path, and did not find the DLL. I found
Mono.Debugging.dll but I believe that is for the non-integrated
debugger.

When I check aptitude for monodevelop-debugger-gdb it is marked as
(UNAVAILABLE). This is the first time I've used an alpha release,
usually I wait for full release so I don't know if the problem is that
it isn't finished yet, or if its a real bug. My apologies if I am
simply being impatient.

** Affects: monodevelop (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
