Yes, this now looks exactly like the Mono bug described in the Debian
ticket I linked above.  I'll try to talk to the upstream Mono guys, and
work toward a proper resolution.

If you experience any additional oddness in Mono apps, please report it
here, so we can better understand the consequences of this bug.
