Sure. What I mean is that information entered into these fields does not
seem to be retained after I close the program.

For example:

I can change the 'Sort Artist' and 'Sort Album Artist' fields for an
album to "Zappa, Frank," and hit save. It will then appear in the
correct location under 'Z' as I would expect. However, when I restart
banshee, the album appears under 'F' again. When I check the album
properties, both the 'Sort Artist' and 'Sort Album Artist' fields are
blank again.
