The Gutenprint dialog for the GIMP, f-spot, and digikam produce correct
PDF files of the photos and send them to CUPS. An example of f-spot is
attached.

Problem is that the example photo is corrupted in the further filtering,
by CUPS' cpdftocps filter which calls CUPS' pdftops filter and this one
calls Poppler's pdftops filter.

Converting the attached example file with Poppler's pdftops

pdftops photo.pdf

results in a PostScript file photo.ps which seems to contain the photo
when one looks at its size but when one displays it with Ghostscript one
gets a white page of the correct size.
