I just repro'd the bug again on intrepid (with all the latest updates).
Package version is:

$ dpkg -l | grep monodevelop
ii  monodevelop                                1.0+dfsg-3                                           C/C++/C#/Boo/Java/Nemerle/ILasm/ASP.NET Deve

       Status: Incomplete => New
