I can confirm that.

Banshee hangs on start for me with version 1.4.3-5 and 1.4.3-6.

Log for start with 1.4.3-6 attached.
$ banshee --debug --debug-sql --debug-addins > banshee-debug.log

Running
$ banshee --disable-dbus --no-gtkrc
did not help.

It was working before for me in karmic, then stopped at some point few
days ago. I am actually not sure if it stopped working before or after
the 1.4.3-5 ->1.4.3-6 upgrade.

Downgrading to 1.4.3-5 did not resolve the problem, so I assume the bug
is triggered by another package (something related to mono?)
