I'd love to see this too, after having used rhythmbox and taking a look
at banshee, stopping and starting music seems sudden and harsh in
comparison. I'll marked as wishlist. I'd love to read the FeatureRequest
page on the wiki for more information but the wiki appears to be down.

** Changed in: banshee (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided => Wishlist

** Summary changed:

- Audio fade out on exit or stop of playback
+ no option for audio to fade out on exit/stop, fade in on play/resume

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: banshee
  Wish list:

- It would be great if Benshee would fade the audio to 0 when the program
- exits or when playback stops. Amarok has this feature.
+ It would be great if Banshee would fade the audio to 0 when the program
+ exits or when playback stops, and fade in when audio is played or
+ resumed. Amarok and Rhythmbox have this feature.
