Just double-checked with Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon live cd & shift-delete
worked ok. I'm using Linux Mint 4.0 and assumed same versions of Tomboy,
however Ubuntu uses 0.8.0-1 & Linux Mint uses 0.8.0-1mint (not sure of
differences if any) - perhaps it's particular to the OP's configuration
having something in common with Linux Mint's?  Will also report bug on
Linux Mint forums.
