For anyone who comes across this through a search, the issue is still
present, but can be avoided by just installing mono-common and mono-jit
packages individually as mono was just a meta package (i.e. does nothing
outside packaging). Maybe this is what Michael meant, but I didn't
understand what he said, particularly with the plural/singular mix up.
