I can reproduce this with 0.4.2-1ubuntu2 in Hardy. Here is the out put
from the error window:

System.NullReferenceException: Object refference not set to an instance of an object
 at FSpotCDExport.CDExport.UniqueName (Gnome.Vfs.Uri path, System.String shortname) [0X00000]
 at FSpotCDExport.CDExport.Transfer () [0X00000]
