Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: f-spot
I'm running 7.10 and each time I try to import tif files f-spot freezes - mostly after importing 3 files from a particular group.
I do not have this problem importing jpg files
This may be similar to Bug #116238 which was closed due to lack of information
I can supply a Backtrace file, however, when the trace is running F-Spot crashes before any files are imported, so it is not an exact replica of the problem I see
Additional information: The crash only happens with certain tif files -
importing other tif files generates the error "Input String was not in
correct format". All of the files have been generated with a Nikonscan
scanner, but with different scanning software applications. This problem
did not manifest itself with previous versions of F-Spot
** Affects: f-spot (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
