Having struggled to produce a 'back trace', I've been doing a little
more research and have discovered that I have a VIA graphics card which
is most likely the source of my troubles. I have found other bug reports
that exactly describe what is happening.

The machine with 7.04 has a different graphics card and f-spot is
stable. I upgraded this machine at the weekend to 7.10 with no problems
and f-spot is still stable.
