I'm getting the error too, it seems to keep other apps from running.
The kill statements seemed to run without error, but the error persists:
Preparing to replace mono-xsp2 1.2.1-1ubuntu1 (using .../mono-xsp2_1.2.4-1.1ubuntu1_all.deb) ...
* Stopping XSP 2 WebServer mono-xsp2 /etc/init.d/mono-xsp2: 95: Syntax error: Bad fd number
invoke-rc.d: initscript mono-xsp2, action "stop" failed.
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/mono-xsp2_1.2.4-1.1ubuntu1_all.deb (--unpack):
subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 2
postinst failed `abort-upgrade'
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/mono-xsp2_1.2.4-1.1ubuntu1_all.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
What should I do with the debdiff file.
