Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: f-spot
I went on a picnic with my girlfriend yesterday, and we took some
photos. When we came back we watched them on f-spot and deleted the ones
we didn't like, then we played a slideshow of the rest. Then she asked
me if I could make a video of it, because apparently we saw a similar
video at a friend's wedding, and I was shocked to find out there seems
to be no software to do that kind of thing on Linux (not easily, at
least).
I have found out that there ARE similar programs on Windows, and quite
popular among my girlfriend's friends, it seems. They pointed me to
Memories on TV, which I have managed to make work on my PC so my
girlfriend finally has her video and that has made her quite happy.
But it would have been just great if f-spot had just had a button to
encode the slideshow to a video file. All the interface is already
there, do you guys think it would be very hard to do that kind of thing?
Do you think it's out of f-spot's scope?
