I get the same bug with muine in feisty - it frequently won't start the
first time I try it.

I wind up doing "killall mono" or the equivilent in Gnome's System
Monitor, then trying muine again, and it almost always works the second
time.

This is new in Feisty - I've been using muine since Hoary, never had
this issue before.
