The same thing happened to me and it seems that filling the "track
count" metadata with the correct value corrected the problem (at least
it did here).

I attach a screenshot showing the track number ordering not functioning
properly (the little "V" arrow indicates that it's supposed to be sorted
in descending order on the track number when it's obviously not)
