i have sam issue puccaso have but it seems to differ to .dng issue. 
how ever:    
f-spot fail ( " A null value was found where an object instance was required" ) to import some *random* of my images.... i din't realise what exacly the difference is, thay all made with same camera - Kodak DX7440.

Here is brocken image in attacment, i think this issue should go
upstream.
