Have added Tomboy manually to the menu too but the app won't launch when
icon is clicked, nor when activated using the command line (same output
as described above). Only with <Alt>F12 it will launch.

(Upgraded from Ubuntu Dapper to Edgy on VAIO PCG-6H2M)
