I waited about 3 minutes after it stopped startup activity. I have tried reinstalling monodevelop without Boo plugin because it complained about the version.
Now I get this when starting monodevelop from a terminal:

$ monodevelop --debug
2006-03-18 23:03:59,825 [-1212363872] ERROR MonoDevelop.Core.ILoggingService [(null)] - Type 'MonoDevelop.Components.Commands.CommandSystemCommands' referenced from add-in 'MonoDevelop.Ide' not found.
set formatter to CSharpBinding.FormattingStrategy.CSharpFormattingStrategy

I am running 0.9-1ubuntu4 from dapper universe. I have been running
dapper for about 2 weeks now without any serious problems. I have all
updates installed.

If I can do more the find out where the problem lies I will happily
cooperate.
