could it be gnomebaker?  it's the only package that isn't banshee
anywhere near any gstreamer packages and it does have some gstreamer0.8
recommended packages.  But banshee is listed twice I will try it again
now and see if it is any different.

How about if I try and remove the gstreamer0.8 packages and see if it
lists a depency that way?
