The situation is getting funnier.
Today I looked at the status of the archive mirrors and found this:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors
> RWTH Aachen University http ftp rsync 20 Gbps Up to date
which is very funny, because the server has not updated the ubuntu
archive directory for almost a month now - as announced by the mirror
administrator in advance - and the trace file status on the mentioned
server is 2024.09.21 .
How reliable is this whole monitoring system? And how many users will be
redirected to package servers that are not up to date?
As a side note, I also suspended the synchronization of ubuntu cd's at
the time in solidarity with Aachen University.
Cheers,
Peter
