We have no use for ls-lR.gz as its format is not easily parsable.
In fact, i mailed this list(?) about that some time ago. This file
supposedly is there to allow older FTP-clients that don't support
recursion to retrieve a complete filelist.
Then again, who still uses ftp for their mirror? ;)
If anything, i'd rather see 'find . -ls' output as seen from ftpmaster.
I could easily parse that file for my own tests and compare that file to
what we have mirrored, etc, etc..
