Turn ls-lR.gz in find-ls.gz!

Hi,
While testing a new mirror setupi, i thought of using ls-lR.gz to easily
find random targets to hit in my scripted tests. Unfortunately, parsing
ls -lR output requires some additional work to reconstruct the full
path while find(1) can provide the same, but computerparsable output.
Would it not be a great idea to turn ls-lR.gz in find-ls.gz ?
It even saves diskspace!
