Mirrors not being probed for pre-8.04 versions?

Hello,

It seems that Ubuntu CD mirrors are not being probed for any versions prior
to The Hardy Heron (8.04).

No previous versions are mentioned on the mirror status pages on launchpad,
for example:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+mirror/mirror.lums.edu.pk-release

I saw this with every mirror listed on

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+cdmirrors

Does anyone know why previous versions have been dropped from the version
listing? Or is this just a bug?
