Sunteți invitați să testați versiunea beta1 a noului LTS Lucid Lynx
10.04 Ubuntu.
Începând cu versiunea aceasta pe lângă versiunile Desktop, Server și
Netboox, sunt disponibile și versiunile Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud și
imagini pentru Amazon EC2.
Versiunile Desktop și Netbook remix au încercat să îmbunătățească timpul
de încărcare și ușurința de folosire în comparație cu versiunile
precedente.
Versiunea pentru servere oferă suport mai bun pentru integrare în cloud.
UEC, Ubuntu enterprise cloud și imaginile Amazon ec2 permit folosirea și
mai simplă a tehnologiilor Ubuntu ca cloud.
Important pe desktop: Integrare cu rețelele sociale, aspect îmbunătățit,
integrare cu serviciile Ubuntu One (alternativă mai bună la DropBox și
iTunes).
Important pe server și cloud: Eucalyptus 1.6.2 și integrare simplificată
și deployment simplificat șa propriul cloud.
Edubuntu: simplificarea integrării și deployment-ului tehnologiei LTSP.
