Club Rainbow(http://www.clubrainbow.org/) is a charity that provides
compassionate relevant services for terminally ill children in Singapore.

The Singapore Linux Meetup Group (http://linux.meetup.com/5/), an informal
meetup of linux enthusiasts, led by Darrel Chua, commissioned a computer
learning lab for the kids. Guess which distro was chosen? If you picked
Edubuntu, you are right!

SLMG members collected hardware (computers donated by Overseas Family School
and National University of Singapore), and some hardware donated by members,
fixed hardware problems and installed Edubuntu on all the machines.

The lab comprises of a HP server which also servers as the network gateway.
Currently there are about 10 desktops ready with multimedia for the kids to
explore.

SLMG members also intend to provide Edubuntu/Linux training to the staff and a
fun-filled introduction to using Edubuntu to the kids.

Encouraged by the project's success, SLMG is looking forward to working with
other charities to implement Linux based computer labs.
