From david at hackerspace.lu Thu Mar 24 21:12:41 2011 From: david at hackerspace.lu (David Raison) Date: Thu, 24 Mar 2011 22:12:41 +0100 Subject: Ubuntu 11.04 Release Party - Update Message-ID: <4D8BB3C9.2060900@hackerspace.lu> Dear Linux-Fans, as we're approaching the month of the Natty-Narwhal release, we would both like to supply you with an update to the tentative schedule for our release party as with a deadline for your talk and workshop proposals. The schedule currently looks like this: == Presentations == * 6.30 - 6.50pm, Lo?c Didelot (MIXvoip): Ubuntu VS Debian, CentOS, Gentoo. Why MIXvoip chose Ubuntu * 7.00 - 7.20pm, Jan Guth (syn2cat): What the heck is GNU/Linux and what does Ubuntu stand for? * 7.30 - 7.50pm, Marc Morocutti (ION Group): Paravirtualise Ubuntu in XenServer. == Workshops == * 7.30 - 8.00pm, Jan Guth (syn2cat): Ubuntu: One small click for a user, but a giant benefit for mankind * 8.00 - 8.30pm, Dennis Fink (syn2cat): Introduction to the shell The website [0] to the release party will be constantly updated and does also have more information on the above presentations and workshops. == Call for Proposals Deadline == We would kindly request that you submit your proposals for either a talk of 15 to 20 minutes or a workshop of up to one hour until April 12th, 11pm latest. As mentioned in our previous mail, the topic of your proposal doesn't necessarily have to focus on the Ubuntu operating system but should be related to Unix in one way or another. == Party == Don't worry though, this event is not called a party without reason. We will of course have drinks, food and amenable people during all of the evening. sincerely, David Raison [0] https://www.hackerspace.lu/wiki/Ubuntu_11.04_Release_Party -- syn2cat a.s.b.l. - Promoting social and technical innovations A: 11, rue du cimeti?re L-8018 Strassen | Luxembourg T: +352 691 44 23 24 E: david at hackerspace.lu W: http://www.hackerspace.lu -- David Raison syn2cat a.s.b.l. - Promoting social and technical innovations A: 11, rue du cimeti?re L-8018 Strassen | Luxembourg T: +352 691 44 23 24 E: david at hackerspace.lu W: http://www.hackerspace.lu -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
