Thank you for your thoughts!
I've thought about this some. I think it's probably outside the scope
of an *Ubuntu* Learning project. We're really focusing on teaching
people how to use the Ubuntu operating system, which may eventually
extend into how to contribute and develop on Ubuntu but I don't think
programming is included here, see our proposed sections on:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Learning/Materials
Even with just a focus strictly on Ubuntu this is a very ambitious goal :)
That said, no one would stop you if you wanted to start developing a
programming course based on programming tools available in Ubuntu, I
just don't want to distract the core of our mission (teaching Ubuntu)
to start teaching other disciplines at this juncture.
You may also want to look at P2PU: https://p2pu.org/en/ this is just
one of the many sites springing up for people to do online teaching
and their general approach may be more appropriate for what you
envision. The Ubuntu Classroom project also welcomes programming
classes if you wanted to develop a course and test it out in a series
of IRC sessions: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Classroom
Take care :)
