I've been working for some time to be able to get permission to start this
project at University of Balamand and today I got the green light to start
it and I would like your help as Ubuntu Lebanon Team and your feedbacks on
this.
Project Equipment:
Pentium II PCs with 128MB of Ram
Project Description:
- Install Ubuntu or subversion
Client Workstation:
- Configure it as a client to login to a windows domain controller
- Configure Applications to work on the domain and access internet
This will be a client workstation that will have all the applications that
are already tested and work fine on the Testing Client Workstation.
Testing Client Worstation:
- Configure it as a client also to login to a windows domain controller
- Configure Applications to work on the domain and access internet
This will be a client workstation that all new applications and/or
configuration will be tested on for future implementation on the Client's
Worktations.
Mini Server Workstation:
- Configure it as a mini server that will download all the updates once and
hang them down to the clients to be installed there which will save some
bandwidth if there are a lot of clients.
I would appreciate any help or feedback from all of you, this would be a
good project for the whole team not a personal project.
