Ubuntu Linux users do not need to install this plugin as it is already
installed on their systems when they install Urdu Language support from
System > Administrator > Language Support.

Just in case if it is not already installed, then you can always install
it via synaptic the package name is openoffice.org-l10n-ur-in OR use
command line:

sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-l10n-ur-in

After installing either the language support or the open office
localization package, you need to enable Urdu user interface from the
options in your Open Office.

Launch OpenOffice
Go to Options select language > language settings from the menu on your
left.
On the right hand change the value for User Interface to Urdu (India).
Press ok and restart open office.
