we have a long way to go.
we just have 40% of the strings translated.
when we have done it considerably we can think about refining them and there
what you are saying is absolutely right.
till then in my humble opinion we should be working individually.
otherwise we will be duplicating the work which at this stage we can ill
afford.

the file is exactly what i used to see during installation.
it shows the interface in lines. obne uses the enter shift and space bars to
moves around.
pretty simple actually.

anyway i have taken it and will finish.

i agree absolutely.
that is why rosetta has structured it like that.
anyone who can, can go and do  some translation.
but as a team we have a responsilbility to translate a considerable portion
of it.
it is just that i feel duplication of work needs to be avoided at this
stage.

i dont think it is like that.
when i installed kubuntu recently all got installed at the time of
installation.
they have periodical cut off dates.
the next one is on oct 12th.
before that, they have advised, we should finish the important files.
to my mind they are 1. browser and mailer, 2.multimedia, 3 a word processor
4. a file browser
5.login interface
all these will have more meaning without the installer being in tamil. that
will straight away take the status a notch above the rest of the languages.
then we can promote it a a tamil linux. install in tamil, work in tamil,
browse in tamil...well, not all are in tamil but we are getting there! mind
helping? see?....

why not go through them and make them better?

i know you can type much faster. if you think you can finish the rest do so
by all means.
otherwise let me finish the job i started.
i am not touching that file till i hear from you. i am assuming that you are
going to do the whole file.
