வணக்கம்,

உபுண்டு தமிழ் மேசைத்தள கையேட்டை வாசிக்கத் துவங்கியவுடன் சில விஷயங்கள் பளிச்சென பட்டது...

முக்கியமான பத்தி ஒவ்வொன்றுக்கும் முடிவில் wiki.ubuntu.com பக்கங்களின் மேற்கோள்கள் 
காட்டப் பட்டுள்ளன.

பின்னர்தான் இப்பணியிலுள்ள சவால் தென்பட்டது...

இந்த மேற்கோளிடப் பட்ட பக்கங்களையும் தமிழாக்கம் (not exact translation - these 
hollywood movies/ cartoon n/w tamil translations have made me a bit  
crazy of direct tamil translations from other languages) செய்யாமல் இப்பணி 
பூர்த்தியாகாது.

மேலே _sudo page_ என குறிப்பிடப் பட்டுள்ளது அதற்கான விகி பக்கத்திற்கான இணைப்பு.

கிணறு வெட்ட போய் பூதம் கிளம்பிவிட்டது. 70 பக்கம் தானே என துவங்கினேன். ஒரு 
பக்கத்திற்கு குறைந்தது ஒரு விகி இணைப்பாவது காணக் கிடைக்கிறது.

இதனைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டு http://ubuntu-tam.org/tamil_ubuntu_wiki/ 
உருவாக்கினேன். தற்சமயம் பயனித்து பயனர் கணக்கை உருவாக்க வேண்டாம் என கேட்டுக் 
கொள்கிறேன். தகவலுக்காக மட்டும். இது உபுண்டு சார்ந்த தமிழ் உதவிப் பக்கங்களுக்கு மட்டும் 
பயன்படும்.

உபுண்டு விகியில் பயன் படுத்தப் பட்டுள்ள moin_moin_wiki_wiki_web பயன்படுத்தலாம் என 
நினைத்தேன். ஆனால் அது python துணைக் கேட்கிறது :-( சரி என்று மீடியா விக்கியே 
தேர்வு செய்து விட்டேன்.

மேலும், முகுந்தண்ணா,
http://ubuntu-tam.org/ க்கு http://ubuntu-tam.org/tamil_ubuntu_wiki/ 
பயன்படுத்தப் படும் பயனர் கணக்கையே இதற்கும் automate செய்ய (vice versa) தங்கள் 
அலோசனைத் தேவை. இரண்டுமே different tables பயன்படுத்துகின்றன. ஒரே  Database. 
Mysql பயன்படுத்தப் படுகிறது.

சுமைக் கூடிக் கொண்டே போவதால், சமர்ப்பணம் குழுவின் நண்பர்கள் சிலரின் உதவியை நாடினேன். 
அவர்களுடன் வரும் சனி/ ஞாயிறு இப்பொறுப்புகளை பகிர்ந்து கொள்வது குறித்து விவாதிக்கப் 
போகிறேன்.

Stepwise instructions - to view Unicode Tamil text

1. You need to have Unicode Tamil fonts installed on your computer and 
the Operating System capable of rendering Tamil Scripts. Windows XP 
comes with a Unicode Tamil Font (Latha) and you need not 
download/install a unicode font.
2. In the Control Panel, in Regional/Languages Options you will need to 
ensure that Indic/Asian Language option is checked.
3. Use a browser that is capable of handling UTF-8 based pages (Netscape 
6, Internet Explorer 5) with the Unicode Tamil font chosen as the 
default font for the UTF-8 char-set/encoding view. Unicode Tamil Fonts
