i have been sending the files only for our exchange.
once they are in the web pages it will be html and *that* can be no problem.
users if they want can save them to the format they like.
pdf will come into play perhaps only for voluminous detailed documents.
if anyone of our group has problem in viewing pl let me know.
actually they could even be in simple unicode text format.

and,yes, to edit a pdf file you need acrobat and that is not a free s/w
