One of my worries about joining this team was whether translations that
I do get contributed to the relevant upstream project.  I want my work
to benefit all of the users of the projects that I contribute
translations to, not just Ubuntu.  I asked before I joined whether this
is done yet, and I was satisfied that work is being done in this
respect.  This is why I think we should consult upstream before changing
a major translation policy such as this one.
