That looks correct to me. Is it really necessary to consult at that
level with gnome and kde? We are talking about a distro specific
translation here, not a wholesale change to a desktop environment.
Would other translation teams go to these lengths to translate an item?

I would have thought that if we were to consult with anyone, then the
ubuntu-devs/canonical might be more appropriate.
