I think this would be a good issue to raise on the GNOME-UK list. The result 
would be dependent upon the aims of the GNOME en_GB effort: does it intend to 
be GB-specific or Commonwealth-generic?

It is interesting to note that the KDE en_GB team proudly subtitle the heading 
on their home page[1] with "KDE native for the Commonwealth".
