Hi Onesmus,
If on Winbloze download Gaim, then connection irc.freenode.net the channel
is #ubuntu-ke

if on Linux, there are many IRC clients. Just use anyone of them. Connecting
is very easy. I suspect you had a connection error on your side. Check your
connection settings, or whether your are behind a firewall. This are some of
the fews issues that would cause a connection error.
