[ubuntu-jp:5339] How to use a canon printer, how to use Japanese characters.

I am a beginner of Ubuntu.  I want to use a printer of Canon Satera
MF4830d/laser printer with Fax, scanner, copy.  I installed a printer
driver using ubuntu software center.  But I cannot use the printer.  Please
tell me how to use the printer.
Sometimes I want to use the Japanese character.  Can I use kana and kanji
?  Please inform me these problems.
